They recommended mixing the new litter with some old litter but it's just turning it into a big litter stew. It's super hard to sift and then I can't flush it if it's mixed so end up having really heavy bags to throw out. Cat hasn't pooped in 2 days. Hoping things like that but recommend cutting the pieces in half and turning them white.

This litter is awesome!! We were using Pretty Litter before but it tracked EVERYWHERE, plus the smell was horrendous. This litter left minimal tracking and the greatest part of all, I don’t smell urine!! Our litter box is in my bathroom, very close to the iron throne, and the smell from previous litters was absolutely awful. Not with this litter, though, I did not smell any lingering unpleasantries. My only problem is we have an automatic litter box and it just didn’t work with this litter. I was so bummed! I really wanted this to work, I love the product and I absolutely love the customer service. The return policy was amazing, customer service made it so easy. If only we didn’t have the automatic litter box, I would’ve continued using this litter from here on out. I believe they said it does work with certain automatic boxes, but unfortunately not ours. I don’t want to discourage you from trying if you have an automatic box so just keep it in mind but if you don’t, I highly recommend this litter. My two biggest pet peaves is tracking litter all over the house and the smell. RGCL solved both of those issues. Oh! And the fact that you can get it delivered right to your door is pretty phenomenal as well. The litter is absolutely worth it and actually lives up to the hype. Just get it.

We use to use Sustainably yours and it not only got messy, it was becoming pricey for us. We have 8 cats and need a good quality litter that doesn’t leave any smell behind, and that last longer before we have to replace it and that is what we found with this brand. Though it’s still on the pricy side, which we hope could change someday., we appreciate how it performs.

My cat got allergies from this litter and he bites and chews his legs further. We bought him to the vet this morning . This is the first time he uses this litter, before I got the non fragrance one but can’t stop the odor.

Since odor control is important, you could try switching back to our unscented formula and pairing it with regular scooping and good ventilation to help keep things fresh. Just got a new ragdoll kitty in May and this is the only litter we’ve used. Also just bought 5 more bags recently with your birthday discount. With her long fur, there’s almost no tracking. How long does one bag last?
On average, one bag lasts about a month for one cat, with many households getting up to 40 days of use. Actual usage can vary depending on your cat’s habits, the size of your litter box, how deep you fill it, and how often it’s used. Some cats are light users, some are… not—and we plan for both.

Does this work with self-cleaning litter boxes?
Most self-cleaning litter boxes are designed for fine, clay-style litters and haven’t quite caught up to natural, pellet-based litters like tofu. Because of that, this litter may not work reliably in many automatic systems. If you're open to manual scooping, we'd recommend our Cove Litter Box, which has a built-in wide-slatted scoop and anti-stick plastic and works well with Really Great Cat Litter.
Is it flushable?
OdorStop has been third-party tested and shown to pass through household plumbing with little to no residue. That said, because it contains bentonite—which doesn’t break down as readily as plant-based fibers—we don’t recommend flushing OdorStop. If you're looking for a flushable litter, our pure tofu litter options are completely flushable.
How is it 99% dust-free if it has clay in it?
Clay gets a dusty reputation because many traditional litters use raw bentonite with jagged edges that easily break down into powder. OdorStop uses just 25% bentonite, formed into compact, rounded granules that are much less likely to crumble during shipping, pouring, or scooping. Those granules are also sifted to remove fine dust before being blended with our low-dust plant-fiber pellets—so you get the odor-control and clumping power of clay without the dust cloud. In other words, the best of both worlds.
Does Really Great Cat Litter expire?
When unopened, Really Great Cat Litter is best used within 24 months of its production date (printed on the bag). Once opened, we recommend using the litter within 3-6 months to reduce exposure to humidity and ensure peak performance. If you plan to use it beyond that window, reseal the bag tightly and store it in a cool, dark, dry place.
How does OdorStop compare to your other litter formulas?
OdorStop is a mixed tofu litter, while our Charcoal and Lavender formulas are pure tofu litters. It’s our most powerful option for odor control, making it a great choice for multi-cat households, while still being low-tracking, 99% dust-free, and lightweight. Unlike Charcoal and Lavender, OdorStop is not flushable.
