Senior Logistics Coordinator

At tuft + paw, we're passionate about creating memorable customer experiences for cat people. If you are a cat person with a passion for logistics, operations and 3PL management, we invite you to join our team as the Senior Logistics Coordinator.

Job Description:

 As the Senior Logistics Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our logistics operations. You will oversee the entire process from Vendor to Customer. Your role will encompass logistics management, inventory control, 3PL management & relations, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

 Logistics Management: Oversee and coordinate the transportation and delivery of goods from suppliers to our warehouse and from our warehouse to customers.

  • Maintain records to track, audit and report on inbound and outbound shipping costs.

Inventory Control: Implement a formal cycle count program including a year end count.

  • Develop tools to monitor and verify inventory levels based on sales and receipt of goods to avoid stockouts.

Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the logistics process and develop strategies for improvement. Including but not limited to:

  • B2B fulfillment and future readiness for new partners

  • Inventory balancing across warehouses

3PL Management: Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure effective outsourcing of warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment services.

  • Monitor and evaluate 3PL performance through regular reviews and performance metrics to ensure they meet agreed-upon service levels.

  • Address any issues or challenges with 3PL partners promptly to maintain smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.

 Data Analysis: Use data and metrics to evaluate logistics performance and make informed decisions. Using the data, find opportunities to reduce operational spend.



Requirements:

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments such as Customer Care, Planning and Product to support operational aspects of projects and initiatives.

  • Provide monthly reports as required on key areas of the business.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address logistics challenges and find innovative solutions.

  • Foresight to identify and prioritize opportunities to ensure future success.

Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in logistics, supply chain management, 3PL or a related field.

  • Comfortable and familiar with working in WMS and IMS software.

Location: Based in Vancouver (or remotely in Canada) while aligning with the company's hours of operation.

CFO / Controller

Job Description:

As the CFCO, you will be the driving force behind our financial strategy and operations, combining the roles of CFO and Controller. You will lead our financial department, overseeing both strategic financial planning and day-to-day accounting operations. Your role will encompass financial management, strategic planning, risk management, and ensuring compliance with accounting and financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute the financial strategy of the company, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives.

  • Financial Operations Management: Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with tax laws and regulations.

  • Cash Flow and Inventory Management: Spearhead strategies for optimizing cash flow, focusing on inventory turnover and efficiency, and streamlining purchase order processes to align with financial goals.

  • Contract Negotiations and Cost Reduction: Lead negotiations with suppliers, partners, and service providers to secure favorable terms, reduce costs, and enhance value. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across the company.

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to guide strategic decisions, manage budgets, and forecast financial trends.
