For the price of this litter, I expected much better performance. The odor control is practically nonexistent. In fact, Iβve found that the smell is significantly worse than with traditional cat litter. Even when I scoop the litter box every single day, it still stinks!
Another major frustration is how difficult and time-consuming it is to scoop. Because of the shape of the litter, I have to constantly shake and sift the scoop just to separate the clean litter from the waste. What should be a quick, simple task takes forever unless I want to throw away a bunch of perfectly good litter.
I really wanted to like this product, especially considering its premium price, but Iβm extremely disappointed. Between the poor odor control and the hassle of scooping, I genuinely feel that traditional litter performs better at a fraction of the cost.

I have always used the lavender (which I love)! .... But I have 2 cats, so I am going to see how the OdorStop does. I wish it was also flushable, but I'm looking forward to trying it! Do you guys put it into a bag and tie it shut before putting it in the trashcan? I know it's going to be great though! Can't wait to get it in the mail! Thank you guys so much......for a first time cat owner that has had my 2 cats now for 5 months, I have never used a different litter. I'm glad I started with Tuft & Paw and didn't have to go through the tracking of the other brands. Really wanted this to be the βmagicβ litter of our dreams! Cats transitioned without issue. But odor control and tracking were no match for our gingers. Thoroughly cleaning the litter proved difficult. Urine clumped- but all βpoo piecesβ did not, which unfortunately, meant removing more litter.

Every cat situation is different, and it sounds like your crew needed something with a different performance profile. For tracking, a high-sided litter box can help keep more pellets contained, though a few escapees are still possible with enthusiastic diggers. The good news is that even with a bit of tracking, many cat parents find pellets easier to manage than traditional litter. For tougher odor situations, we recommend trying our OdorStop formula. FAQs
How long does one bag last?
Generally, one bag will last for one month with one cat. Keep in mind other factors may influence your usage such as the size of your litter box, how deep you fill it, and how often your cat(s) use it.
What are the ingredients?
In true tuft + paw fashion, we put your cat first. Our formula is simple with five safe ingredients: Soybean Fiber, Corn Starch, Corn Flour, Guar Gum, Charcoal.
If it clumps, then how is it also flushable?
A small amount of liquid will cause it to harden slightly, but submerged in water it completely breaks down
Is it septic safe?
We have lots of septic customers, it works fine so long as you flush in small amounts at a time, it completely breaks down in water.
My plumber said never to flush anything
It disintegrates completely in water so it's fine unlike other "flushable" products that are just marketed like that.
I thought that you werenβt supposed to flush cat waste because of Toxoplasmosis?

Does this work with self-cleaning litter boxes?
Unfortunately the pellets don't work with most auto litter boxes

Does Really Great Cat Litter expire?
When unopened, Really Great Litter lasts 24 months from its production date, as indicated on the bag. Once opened, the bag should be used as soon as possible to benefit from peak performance. Store sealed in a dry, cool, and ventilated space.
