Tab Scratching Board

Cats may need time to adjust to new products in the home, especially if they are unfamiliar. Here are a few tips that may help:

1. Place the post in a visible area where your cat already likes to scratch.
2. Try using catnip or treats to encourage your cat to engage with the post.
3. Engage in play with your cat around the post to get them used to it.
4. Consider placing the post near their bed or a window where they like to spend time.
5. Avoid putting your cat directly on the post - let them explore and use it independently.
6. Reward your cat with treats or praise when they show interest in the post.
7. Put the post next to something they already like using to make it more appealing.
8. Be patient! It can take weeks for a cat to show interest in a new post.

To clean the Tab, you can wipe down the wooden parts with a soft damp cloth and lightly vacuum the fabric. We have tested the scratching materials thoroughly, but if you notice any signs of wear on your Tab, you can trim any frayed carpet with scissors.

The purpose of the two legs at the bottom of the frame is to catch on the Tab's bottom feet. These legs then bend upwards during mounting, which creates clearance for the Tab's top two feet to mount onto the frame. Once the Tab is correctly mounted, the legs on the frame hold it in place through tension. You can easily lift the Tab off and on as needed.

For safety reasons, we strongly advise that customers use Tab's custom mount and the hardware provided. This ensures that Tab is mounted securely for the safety of your cat.
