Hey fellow cat lovers - I could use some advice. My cat hardly ever hisses, but he has suddenly started hissing at one of my close friends. My cat is very familiar with this friend - my friend has taken care of him in the past, gives him treats every time he comes over. In the past, my cat appeared to be very comfortable around him.
The first time he hissed, it was when he was being picked up. But more recently, it was as my friend was approaching.
Any ideas? I don't want this to become a habit. Is it crazy to think it has something to do with my friend's recent moustache?
